Understand Your Diamond
Colorless, with minor traces of color only a trained eye can catch.
Color grades the natural tint in a diamond on a scale from D (colorless) to Z (heavily tinted). The closer to colorless, the rarer — and more valuable — the stone.
Inclusions extremely difficult to see under 10x magnification
Most diamonds carry tiny internal or surface imperfections. Clarity grades how visible those are, from Flawless (FL) down to Included (I3) — the rarer grades are hardest to find.
Outstanding brilliance and light return, cut to ideal proportions.
Cut grades how well a diamond's proportions and facets return light, from Ideal down to Poor. A well-cut stone shows more brilliance and sparkle, whatever its shape.
